Small Steps To Create The Change You Want

On today’s episode, Lesley Evans discusses how our perceptions of what we need to do in life, or our checklist of what we think we need to accomplish, can add to stress and keep us locked into old behaviors and thinking. This mentality of sacrificing ourselves for others is unhealthy, and breaking free of that thought process allows us to see the possibility in our lives and ourselves.

The conversation focuses on how to fulfill ourselves and find our source of joy. We talk about the difference between being “busy” and being fulfilled and satisfied. We have a great discussion on what self-care is and is not and how we need to focus on finding our way to care for ourselves spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. She shares a practical look at building presence or mindfulness into our day helps us to stay in the moment and finding joy in our lives, even in difficult times. Lesley provides a great mindfulness exercise you can do daily without adding to your already full plate.
